Biography

Born in Wageningen, the Netherlands, on 1 August 1981. Grew up in Noordwijk aan zee and Rhenen, the Netherlands. Wendy was scouted by Jeroen van de Mast, currently Director of Elite Model Management Amsterdam, during the Megafestatie youth fair in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In 1998, at the age of 17, she then won the Dutch Elite Model Look of the Year. After passing her final exams, she moved to Amsterdam, soon followed by Milan and Paris, after which her career rocketed. With her knowledge of the fashion industry, she has served several times as a judge and co-host of the National and International finals of the Elite Model Look of the Year. She furthermore played a guest role in Shallow Hal, a movie by the Farelly Brothers. She has done campaigns for many lingerie and swimwear brands, including Lejaby, Marie Jo L`Aventure, Calzedonia, La Senza, Panos Emporio, Ory, Vasarette and Christina Davo And also for Wolford, Veronica FM Radio, Rituals Pure Beauty Cosmetics. Wendy has featured the pages of magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Maxim, Jackie, Marie Claire, Marie France, Femme, Arena, GQ, Vogue Esposa, El Pais, Link and FHM. She furthermore has been seen in Advertisements of Abercrombie and Fitch (photographed by top photographer Bruce Weber), Burberry, Rocco Barocco Jeans, Rippley Jeans, Inwear, Wolff lingerie, Lycra, Tommy Hilfiger and Ti Sento Milano. Wendy now works from the Netherlands, continuously traveling around the world, and has established a loyal customer base.
